Finite-Element Analysis on Energy Dissipation and Sealability of Premium Connections under Dynamic Loads

In the process of high flow rate fracture and gas production, sealing performance premium connection decreases due to dynamic load vibration downhole tubing strings, which may cause accidents. Existing static analysis methods cannot effectively explain this phenomenon. The main objective paper is propose a novel analytical method for evaluating connection. paper, model surfaces established based on equation elastic rod, hysteresis characteristics energy dissipation mechanism are analyzed. Considering influence spherical radius, internal pressure, axial cyclic amplitude, modal vibration, spherical-conical finite element analyze laws connection’s performance. results show that under can be analyzed by using theory compared with traditional contact analysis.
